Elements of Life is a David Simpson Photographic Exhibition.
David Simpson (1931—2023), was a well-known British, Australian photographer who travelled widely throughout Australia and overseas. His photographs are represented at the Art Gallery of South Australia and galleries and collections throughout Australia.
This exhibition is only a small selection of his many photographs donated by him to the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and held in their collection. Included are HM Queen Elizabeth II, Don Bradman, David Gulpilil and Sir Mark and Lady Oliphant plus many other well-known South Australian identities and locations.
David’s photographs also illustrate Colin Thiele’s well known children’s books “Ballander Boy” (1979), “Little Tom Little” (1981) and Tanya and Trixie (1980).
