Trees and water predominate in my work, without them we cannot exist. I depict the combination as essential for humanity and all life. I despair at the way human influence, in the search for possessions, is destroying what is most important to us all, our natural surroundings. In my quest to become an artist, this period of my life is dedicated to drawing with pen and ink, and my favourite subject is the Redgum. I do not copy, but let my imagination present the scene from what I have absorbed in my lifetime.
